July 5th celebration!

Holly Springs celebrated the 4th on the 5th of July.  We had originally all planned to attend but that was my first day back to work and Parker was exhausted from his fun day at home with daddy so we all had dinner together and Josh and Landon decided to head to Womble Park.  Almost as soon as they got there it rained.  Landon was able to get his face painted, jump in a few bounce houses and have some junk.  They waited out the storms and were able to see the fireworks!  They both reported back how much fun they had and even recorded some of the fireworks for me...so thoughtful!

Happy 4th of July!

In years past we have spent the 4th at the lake.  However, this year we decided to stay home.  We had a pretty laid back day.  We had lunch with Josh's parents and then a cookout that evening with the Jones and Weller family.

The kids had a great time watching the fireworks at home (thanks JJ) and playing!

Landon's mini vacation!

Josh and I decided that we would take Landon on a little trip to Busch Gardens!  He was SUPER excited and loved having us all to himself.  Parker got to spend some quality time with Ma...thanks Ma!
We headed out on Wednesday and walked around Colonial Williamsburg and had dinner.  We got up Thursday and headed to Busch Gardens.  Landon is at such a great age for rides.  He was able to ride everything except the rollercoasters which he is not ready for anyway.  We spent the whole day there and had a blast!  We checked out Friday morning and headed back to Colonial Williamsburg.  Landon liked seeing the people dressed up and looking at the old stuff but got bored pretty quickly.  We ate lunch and hit the outlets for a few hours and then headed back home.  It was nice spending some quality time with Landon and we know it is a trip he will remember!

Just a side note on Parker....Ma called us on the first day while eating dinner.  Apparently Parker dialed 911 and the police had to come out.  Ma said he was really nice and even gave Parker a badge!  Leave it to Parker to add some excitement!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the best dad ever!

We love you,
Landon and Parker

Parker did not want his picture made and Landon was trying to watch him pitch a fit!

Last Day of Kindergarten!

WOW....that is all I can say!  I feel like it was yesterday that I was blogging about Landon's first day of school and here we are, the last day.  I am overwhelmed with emotion today.  I am so excited that he had such a great year and we are so proud of him.  However, I am a little sad for this chapter to be over.  It just showed me how fast the years fly by and how they are going to continue to fly.

Landon has grown so much academically this year.  He is reading, writing sentences, blending words, etc.  We are in awe of all he has learned and accomplished.  We cannot wait to see what 1st grade has in store!

Here is a picture of the first day of school and the last day!

End of the Year celebration!

Last Friday Landon's class had an End of the Year celebration!  Josh, Parker and I joined him for a very cute slide show, pizza, cake and fun.  We have been so pleased with his Kindergarten experience and boy has he learned a lot!  It is hard to believe my first baby is almost in 1st grade!

Tball time!

Soccer is over and we have officially moved into tball, well we have been there for a few weeks, I am just late posting.  This is Landon's 2nd season playing and he is so much more into this year than he was last year.  His skills have improved and he spends less time playing in the dirt this year!

He is on the Muckdogs team again and knew several of the kids from last season.  He has great coaches and we are enjoying watching him!
