Happy 8th Birthday Landon!!!

WOW....how did he get to be 8 years old????  Time is flying by so quuickly and I cannot believe my first born is 8 already.  It has been a great 8 years and you have brought so much joy to our lives Landon!  I cannot imagine life without you.  You are still a super sweet, sensitive and caring child.  You are such a people pleaser and you make us proud to be your parents!

This year you decided that you wanted to go ice skating for your birthday...so, we loaded some friends and cousins and headed downtown Raleigh to the outdoor ice rink.  This was the first time for everyone I think.  After ice skating we brought the kids back to the house where parents and Brayden joined us for pizza and cake.

We look forward to what this year has in store for you!!

More Christmas 2012

I know....but like I said, I LOVE Christmas!

Christmas 2012 continued

I have lots of Christmas pictures so I am just going to post more....

Christmas 2012

Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year!  I love the celebration Jesus's birthday, the festivities at church, the decorations, the lights, the excitement in my kids eyes, the get togethers and of course the food!  Landon was so excited this year and I am pretty sure he made his list like the very beginning of December.  Parker really understood it more this year and as most people know, loves frosty, so of course he was in heaven.  He loved all the decorations, loved, loved looking at the Christmas lights and could not get enough of Santa Claus.  Landon really understands that we celebrate Jesus's birthday and that it is the most important part of the season.  He also could not wait for Santa to come and was so excited about it all.
We try and cram as much stuff into the month as possible, not really on purpose, but it always happens.  Leopold, our elf, of course came back around Thanksgiving and the kids LOVED looking for him every morning.  We did the Pullen Park Christmas train ride, went out to Hillridge Farms this year with the Jones family to see the lights, enjoyed some parades, did our annual gift exchange/cookie decorating with the Jones family, attended the Falcon Christmas party where the Grinch once again made his appearance,

spent lots of time with family and celebrated Jesus's birthday!  We spent Christmas Eve at our house with family and Christmas Day at home and that evening with my dad and his family.
It was a great holiday and one that we will always remember!

Halloween 2012

Halloween is always a fun time and it's the start of the holiday season!  This year Parker dressed up as Buzz Lightyear and Landon dressed up as version of a skeleton.  As always, we had dinner with the McMahon and Jones family and then headed out to get some good treats.  Parker really understood halloween this year and loved the fact that he could ask for candy and then he would get it!  Landon went from house to house so fast I could not keep up with him.

Fall 2012

October is one of our favorite and most busy months of the year!  The weather cools down, Parker has a birthday, our anniversary is in October, NC State football is in the air and of course Halloween!
One of our traditions is picking out the perfect pumpkin(s) at our church.  The kids love picking out pumpkins and we usually end up with multiple ones before we are done:)

Beach 2012

So I am way behind in my blog partially because of time but mostly because they changed things on me and I have not had the patience to learn how to use it.  I am going to try and highlight the most important family things we did last year and so far this year!

In September 2012 we took the boys to the beach and stayed at Ocean Lakes!  They both loved it there and the weather was perfect!  The highlights were the golf cart, the ocean, playing on the playgrounds and the pirate show we saw.  We love taking them to the beach and look forward to many more beach trips!
