Happy 6th Birthday!

We celebrated Landon's 6th birthday on the 30th of December!  All I can say is WOW...where has the time gone????

 The crew!
 Landon's cookie cake...
 Some pretty cool gifts...

 Getting settled for the movie
 Landon woke up to this...
The hockey gear he had to have!  No, he does not play hockey...yet!
Hanging out with Parker in his new sleeping bag!
Getting ready to go to IHOP
He woke up to a decorated room, streamers and balloons and it was down the stairs to open gifts from Josh and I.  He has been very excited about this birthday.  He wanted to go to IHOP for breakfast, so off we went.  He got his pancakes and the wait staff even sang Happy Birthday to him.  We hung out and then his buddies came over for a sleepover party.  We had 5 boys, including Landon spend the night.  Our neighbors and Mackenzie and Amy joined us for pizza and cake.  They watched a movie and then it was off to bed.  They were up by 7am had breakfast and went back to playing.  We then loaded them up and headed to the movies to see Yogi Bear.  After the movies we brought them back to the house, fed them and then took them home!

The kids were awesome and we enjoyed having them!  It was a fun but exhausting party.....

Christmas 2010

 The play!

 Christmas Eve, ready for Santa!
 All the goodies....

Josh and I were very excited this Christmas because it was the first time we would be spending it at home with our kids.  In the past we have always traveled and we decided last year that we needed to stay home and make new traditions for our kids!  Landon was SUPER excited about being here and was even more excited when he knew that Santa would know where to deliver his goodies.

We kicked off the fesitivites with Josh's family on the 23rd!  We had dinner and the kids did a little play for us.  Landon was Joseph and Parker was suppose to be baby Jesus but he would not sit still....go figure!  We did not exchange gifts this year, instead we adopted some angels from Holly Springs and let the kids go shopping for them.  It was a bit chaotic but hopefully they understood it and can appreciate a little how lucky they are.

We then spent Christmas Eve at our house with my mother and brother's family.  The kids had so much fun playing and they were all so cute.  They are going to be so much fun together in the years to come.  We exchanged gifts, hung out, ate a lot and ended the night with dinner.  Josh's parents and cousin joined us for dinner.  Landon was anxiuos about getting into bed so Santa would come.  We went out to spread our reindeer food, put the cookies out for Santa and it was off to bed!

About 3am, I got sick and felt horrible...the curse of the stomach bug.  I got up at 7am with the kids and then went back to bed.  I was so disappointed in how our first Chrismtas at home turned out for me.  My mom was here that morning and saw what the kids got and then headed to Kris's house.  Josh's parents then came over and spent the morning with Josh and the kids.

By 4ish I was feeling better and decided I was going to make the best out of the situation.  We packed our clothes and headed to Danville to do Christmas with my dad's side of the family.  That was the plan the whole time, we were just suppose to go earlier.  Landon was excited we were getting to go and we made it just in time to see the snow fall!

All in all we had a fabulous Christmas and got to spend it with our amazing family!!!
