3rd Grade!

3rd grade...really????  I  know I say this every year, but man, 3rd grade seems so old!  How do I have a child in the 3rd grade already???  Landon has a male teacher this year for the first time and he is excited about that.  He is ready for school to start back, I hope he always feels this way about school:)  3rd grade is a big transition year and I know he will do well!  Can't wait to see all the new things he will learn this year!!!

Happy July 4th!!

We celebrated July 4th with a day at the pool and our annual cookout/fireworks at the Jones's house!  Josh does not get many opportunities to go to the pool so we always take advantage of going on the 4th.  We spent the several hours there and then headed home for naps.  After naps we joined the Wellers at the Jones house for funtimes!  We ate and did our annual firework show.  The kids look forward to this every year and it's amazing how excited they get over the not so big fireworks we set off.  However, our neighbors go all out and we have big fireworks all around us.  This was Ansley's first 4th and she was a trooper as always.  She liked the fireworks (she saw them on the 3rd) but slept through our show at the Jones house.  We look forward to many more fourths with friends and family!

Camp Don Lee....Part 2

As expected, Landon had a great time at camp but did get a little homesick.  He ended up having to call home on Wed and Thurs morning because he was so homesick.  However, he made it through the week and he had a great experience!  He had fabulous counselors who were great role models and helped him out so much when he was feeling sad.  He was excited to see us when we got there on Sat and I have to admit, I was happy to see him too.  He showed us around camp and told us all the cool things he got to do.  I think the highlights were the sailing, canoeing, and swimming.  He is already making plans to go back next year!

Here are some pics from pick up day...

His view for the week:)
