Wolfpack Football 2012

One of the things we love most about the Fall is NC State football!  We enjoy the games but most of all we enjoy the tailgating with our family and friends.  Landon has been going for a long time and he enjoys it a lot...one day Parker will get to go...HA!

Lake 2012

I am so far behind on this blog so I am jumping back to the end of August.....

We spent many weekends at the lake this summer and the kids LOVE it there!  Landon would stay there all the time in the summer if we could and Parker finally decided the lake was fun to swim in.  Once he got in he did not want to get out.  They will have so many great memories

Happy 3rd Birthday Parker!!!

We celebrated Parker's 3rd birthday on October 13th with a Thomas the Train party.  It was his actual birthday which always makes it more fun:)  Parker was so excited that a "real" train came to his house and I think other than cake, he rode the train the whole time.  His friends seemed to have a great time and he got lots of great gifts!  Thanks everyone:)

Parker is still full of energy and has a great personality!  He loves the ipad, playing with his toys, still loves frosty the snowman, cars, trains and Toy Story characters. He enjoys watching movies, he really likes Beauty and the Beast and of course we are still watching Frosty the Snowman:)  He is still not potty trained:(  He tells me he is not big enough yet....we are just being patient and waiting on him to decide he wants to do it.  He was 32lbs at his check up and was in the 75% for height.  Parker is a sweet boy most of the time but when he's mad you better watch out...HA!

Happy 65th Birthday Papa Dunbar!

We celebrated Papa Dunbar's 65th birthday in July!  We managed to pull a surprise party together at our house.  His sfamily from Ohio came in to surprise him as well and boy was he surprised!  It was a great night spent celebrating with friends and family:)

First Day of 2nd Grade!

July 9, 2012 was Landon's first day of 2nd grade!  I am still in shock that he is already in 2nd grade, time is flying by.  He was super excited to be going back to school and was happy that Ms. Stratford was his teacher.  He had a great day and I think he will have a fantastic school year!

Happy 4th of July!

We celebrated the 4th of July with several families this year.  We went to the Jones house as we have done for the past few years.  We had great food, the kids played in the water and shot our own fireworks.  You will notice that Parker has on a swim diaper but no suit...I totally forgot his suit and did not want to go back home.  He thought it was cool but he looks a little pitiful.  The bigger kids are really getting into the fireworks and they cannot wait for it to get dark.  Such great memories we are making:)

Our newest member....

We lost Deuce in May this year and decided we were going to take a break from having dogs.  Well, that last about 11/2 months and then we met this little one.  She was so darn cute and the kids (including Josh) begged me to get her.  I stood my ground...well for a few hours anyway.  On June 30th, Josh and I went dinner for my birthday and ended back up at the pet store to see her again.  We talked about her over dinner and the rest is history.  Bella Jewel was a surprise for the kids and boy were they excited!  She has the best personality and is a great addition to our family:)

Joyce Family Reunion

My side of the family had a family reunion this year on July 23rd.  We were excited to be going because there were so many family members we have not seen in so long.  As a matter of fact, there were many who had not even met my children yet.  We gathered on Johnny/Marla's house/farm for lots of fun and laughter.  Marla has a pool so the kids went swimming, there is a pond with ducks so they fed the ducks, Johnny took the kids on a hay ride and of course there was lots of yummy food.  It was so nice to see everyone and look forward to seeing them again soon!

Race for the Cure

On June 9th, 2012 our family walked in the Race for the Cure.  Falcon Engineering was a sponsored so we got up early with our kids that morning to support such a great cause and one that is dear to my heart.  The boys did a great job and we were able to finish the walk.  They rode in the wagon, walked and rode on Josh's shoulders but none the less they made it!  They had lots of activities going on for the kids and they both participated in the kids race.  Landon won first and well, Parker came in dead last but it was so darn cute.  He could have cared less and was so excited about racing! 

We hope to make this a family tradition...it is such a great cause!!
