Camp Don Lee

Landon convinced  us that he was ready for a summer camp experience and that he wanted to do a full week.  As you can imagine, I was not sure I was ready for this.  A whole week away from my "baby" was something I have never done.  After many conversations with him, we agreed to let him go.  Thank goodness he had two buddies who also wanted to go.
Landon has been so excited about going and tried to get me to let him pack his bags about 2 weeks before he was suppose to leave.  June 23rd we headed down to the coast, near New Bern to Camp Don Lee.  Landon was beyond excited and did not seem nervous at all...I cannot say the same for myself.  We got the boys all checked in and got their bunks made and said our goodbyes.  I have to admit I did shed a few tears when we were leaving.  I never imagined it would be so hard to leave him.  I know that he is going to make memories and great friends while he is there.  I cannot wait to pick him up Saturday morning and hear all about it!

It has been quiet here this week.  I do miss her but am so glad the camp posts pictures so I can see his face everyday!  Here are a few pics I took when we dropped him off...I am sure there will be more!

5 Months old....

Ansley turned 5 months old on the 22nd of this month!  I cannot believe that she is already 5 months old...the more children you have the faster they grow up I think.  Ansley is still an awesome baby and has brought so much joy to our life and family.  She is "talking" up a storm and can get very loud at times.  She can roll from her stomach to her back but gets stuck rolling from her back to her stomach.  She still loves her bouncy seat, I think because she gets a good view of her crazy brothers!  She still sleeps great, if she gets up it's only once.  She takes 3-4 naps a day and is still very laid back.  She is totally entertained by her brothers and they can get her to laugh very easily.  Aunt Monica realized on her 5 month birthday that she had a tooth:(  I was so surprised because we have not seen a lot of signs of her teething, not much drooling and not cranky at all.  She is actually getting both bottom teeth.  It makes me so sad because I love the gummy smiles she has.
We also started feeding her solids.  She has had green beans, sweet potatoes, bananas and apples.  So far she is doing really well with them and is a pretty good eater.  She still loves her bottles but is so busy watching everyone it is difficult to get her to focus.

Can't wait to see what the next month has in store for sweet Ansley!

Happy Father's Day!

This year like most, we celebrated Father's Day weekend at the lake!  The kids LOVE this place and it's a great way to spend time with my own dad.  I am so blessed to have such a great father in my life.
I am also a lucky girl to have married not only a great husband but an AWESOME father to my children!  With that great husband came a fantastic father in law!  We are one blessed family:)

Happy Father's Day to all the great father's in my life....We love you all!

Some Parker pictures....

Parker and I had some time yesterday just hanging outside playing.  He LOVES having our undivided attention (doesn't happen that often).  Here are just some cute pictures I took of him playing...

Cereal was a success!

We gave Ansley cereal for the first time last night and like I expected, she loved it!  She pretty much ate the whole bowl and she was so excited!  She talked so loud while we were feeding her.  I think she is going to love fruits and veggies:)

And yes, she is sitting in a blue bouncy seat wearing her brothers old bib that is blue.....guess I need to get a pink one from her closet for next time!

4 months old!

Ansley officially turned 4 months old on May 22nd however, she did not have her check up until today.  Her official stats are 14lbs 10.5oz (53%) and she is 26in long(93%).  She is talking up a storm, kicks her legs like crazy (even the dr noticed how developed her gross motor skills are), is obsessed with looking at her hands, especially her left hand (we always joke that it looks like she wants a ring to wear), loves tummy time now but rolls from her belly to back while doing tummy time, is belly laughing, which I love, loves to watch her brothers and especially likes it when Landon talks to her.  She kicks so much that she often pops the buttons on her sleepers and she will have a foot out when I get her....we use sleep sacks too but prefers her pajamas.

She is still a great sleeper; she goes to bed between 6:30-7:30 and usually sleeps until 5-6am.  Every once in a while she will wake up for a little snack between 12-1am.  She is a great napper too....sleeps for a couple of hours, is up for about 2 hours and then sleeps again for a few more hours.  Usually there are 3 naps just depends on what is going on.  She is a rockstar baby and we are so blessed that she is ours!  We look forward to what the future holds for this sweet little girl!

Oh, we got the green light to start rice cereal...stay tuned for pictures!
