Pumpkin Patch!

Loves the pumpkins!

Landon was showing us how big his muscles are!

Our church sells pumpkins every year for a fund raiser and Landon loves going out to the pumpkin patch!

After church today, we picked out our pumpkins! Of course, I had to take pictures of him in the patch!

Happy Fall everyone!!!!!!

More Wolfpack Fun!

With Fall brings lots of football games. This Saturday was no exception. We had beautiful weather for tailgating and the first quarter, after that, the bottom dropped out. We left early due to the rain and the fact the Wolfpack was loosing horribly!

Despite the loss and the rain, we had a good time! The Jones's joined us for some tailgating, which was fun and we had lots of good food!!!!

Marbles Fun!

Last Thursday, Amy and I took the kids to Marbles Museum. It is a super cool museum for kids with so much for them to do. The big hit was the water station, pirate ship and of course the play area where the kids could dress up like firemen, mailmen, etc.
Landon has already asked if we could go back...which I am sure we will!

Just because

I took these pictures on Sunday and am posting them because I think he is a pretty cute kid. Not to mention, he loves having his picture taken so I take full advantage of that.

We Won!

Landon loves football!

Look at that hair!

NC State beat ECU!!!

We all headed to the game Saturday (fearing the worst) and left pretty excited! We had a great time, the weather was awesome and the stadium was rocking....and Carolina lost!

Shopping with Ma!

A couple of weekends ago, Landon and I met MA for a little shopping and to visit. It was pretty hot so we only stayed for a couple of hours. Landon and Ma had fun playing in the play area and of course the "cookie store" was a hit!

Pretty quiet!

This has been a pretty "normal" week. Landon is loving school and his teachers! Colby was at the beach Mon/Tues and Landon dearly missed him and is SUPER glad they are back!
We are headed to the NC State vs. ECU game tomorrow and the weather is going to be GREAT!!! I am sure we will loose, but we will have a great time hanging out. Other than that, we are planning a low key weekend.

Urgent Prayer Request!

Please keep in your prayers the Griffin Family. Liz lost her battle to Cystic Fibrosis today. Liz was 27 years old and leaves behind her husband Don and her little boy Trip.

They have been friends of ours for many years and Liz will surely be missed. The upcoming days will be difficult and I ask you to lift them up in prayer and that the Lord gives Don the strength he will need to explain this to his 6 year old son.

Tiger on the loose!

Last night Josh took Landon to a Chamber event where there were lots of kid things to do. I stayed home since I was having back issues (that kept me out of work all day).
So, when the door opened in came a growling tiger! It was very funny b/c I had no idea Landon had his face painted. It was a first for him and he LOVED it!

Are you read for some football!?!?!?!?!

On the way to the game!

Our little family!

Taking a break for dinner!

Landon LOVES the Wolfpack!

Well, Saturday marked the first home NC State football of the 2008 season! Most of you know that we are die hard Wolfpack fans and Landon is no exception. We did not tell him we were going to the game until he woke up from his nap in fear that the weather would not cooperate and that he might not take a good nap.
It turned out to be a wonderful afternoon, the sun was out and you would never know that we had rain from Hurricane Hanna. We did not really tailgate (again, b/c of the weather) but we had a great time as always.

The Wolfpack won (finally) but more importantly we had a fabulous time hanging out with our family. Football games are guaranteed times that I get to spend time with my family and now Landon gets to have that same experience. He will be a seasoned tailgater when he goes to NC State (notice I said when, not if)!

Here are some of the pictures I took at the game....GO PACK!!!!

Second Day of School?!?!?!

So, this morning I was getting Landon ready for preschool when he puts his backpack on and tells me he is ready for his picture! I tried to explain to him that I took them on the 1st day of school but had not planned on taking pictures the 2nd day of school. Well, he insisted that I take his picture before school, so I did.

I took the picture without a memory stick so I will have to pull it off the drive on the camera...I will post later.

As most of you know, I do not work on Fridays so I was not sure I would like being home without Landon. Well, I was wrong! Amy and I exercised this morning and then I was able to get ready and eat lunch by myself. I am picking up Landon and Colby on Fridays so I am looking forward to that. I am glad I can repay Amy in a small way for taking Landon to and from school.....THANKS AMY!!!

First Day of Preschool

Today was Landon's first day of preschool. He is in the 3 yr old class this year, which is apparently a big deal, at least to him it is. He was very excited to be going back this year and was not the least bit scared. He walked right in and sat down and began coloring a picture. It seems that he has great teachers, and a good classroom!

Here are some pictures from the morning...I cannot believe we are already starting another year of preschool!

A Clown Wannabe!

When we got home yesterday, I left Landon downstairs painting rocks (which is a new favorite). I was upstairs for MAYBE 5 minutes to change clothes and I came back to a little boy who decided he wanted to be a clown! Oh, what imaginations these little ones have!!!
