Hockey...

Landon has wanted to play hockey for the last year and a half.  He has gotten pretty good at roller bladding and is always playing hockey in the driveway.  We found out about roller hockey and have finally caved.  Landon will start playing in September and he is beyond thrilled!  He and Josh went yesterday to be fitted for his gear...wish us luck!

Last lake trip for the summer!

We took the kids to the lake last weekend for our last trip of the summer!  Landon absolutely LOVES being there.  He would live there in the the summer if he could.  He was able to swim, boat ride, ride the golf cart and hang out.

Parker has grown to like being at the lake as well.  He loves the baby pool we put on the deck and really enjoys riding the boat!

Mini beach trip!

A few weeks ago we all packed up and headed to Myrtle Beach!  Josh had a conference he had to attend so the boys and I went to play.  We left on a Wednesday and came back on a Sunday.  The hotel was beautiful and we had great weather! 

We played on the beach, swam in the pool, ate good food and went to Medieval Times.  Parker had a rough time sleeping b/c he could see us in the room.  Landon and I spent lots of time sitting in the floor and hiding so Parker could not see us during nap time....it was quite comical. 

Parker was scared of the ocean at first but quickly warmed up to the idea.  Landon loved the ocean and went out pretty far this year.  He attempted to surf and got some use out of his boogie board.  The Faulkners were there as well so he really enjoyed having 2 other boys to play with.  Josh did have some time to play outside as well!

All in all we had a good time but we learned that hotel rooms are not ideal for an almost 2 year old!!!
