Halloween Party

The club in our neighborhood had a Halloween party a few weekends ago so we dressed the kids and off we went.  My mom went with us and the kids were excited to show off their costumes to her.  Ansley was not overly excited about her witch hat but did like her dress:)  Parker has been counting down to him being able to wear his costume so I didn't have to ask him more than once to get dressed.  And Landon...well, he thinks he is too cool to show his excitement but I knew he was.
The kids ate, enjoyed the mad scientist, and took a hayride.  They had a costume contest and Parker won for his age group.  He was so proud:)

NC State Fair 2013

It has become a annual tradition for us to visit the NC State Fair every year.  Josh grew up doing this and we have made it part of our tradition.  Of course the boys were beyond excited about going.  We checked Landon out of school on a Tuesday so we did not have to fight the weekend crowd.  The boys rode lots of rides, we saw the animals, got Josh's mini doughnuts, played a few games and were back at our car before dinner:)

This of course was Ansley's first fair.  She enjoyed people watching and the lights but after about 45min she was done.  She slept for most of the rest of our time there:)

Ansley turns 9 months old!

October 22nd marked Ansley's 9 month birthday!  It is so hard for me to believe that in 3 months we will have a 1 year old:)  This has been a busy month for our sweet girl.  She has pretty much sworn off baby food, only wants the real thing.  She likes cheese, the gerber bars, green beans, peaches and pears so far.  I have also given her things that we are eating too...like lasagna, yes she has had a few bites of pizza and chicken casserole.  However, if she is not in the mood to eat she will push your hand away, turn her head and push her lips together.  She has another tooth so that's a total of 4 and I am pretty sure she is working on 2 more.  She is "crawling" now, looks more like an army crawl but she is on the move.  She is "talking" a lot more and can be pretty loud at times.  She still loves her brothers, epecially Landon.  He can still make her smile when no one else can.

She had her official 9 month check up a few days later.  Her stats are: Weight-17lbs 7oz(36%) Length- 29in(91%).  She has only gained a little over a pound in the last month but the dr is not concerned.  She said she was going to be tall and lean..not a bad problem to have:)

Ansley continue to bless our family everyday and I cannot imagine life without her!

Parker is 4 years old!

Parker officially turned 4 on October 13th!  I truly cannot believe that he is already four but would be lying if I didn't say I am soooo glad that the 3's are behind us.  That was a tough year for all of us but it seems to be behind us for the most part.  Something about turning 4 made him really "grow" up and so much fun to be around.
Parker was greeted his birthday morning with balloons that we had put on the outside of his door.  I am pretty sure that was one of the highlights of his birthday as he told everyone about it.  We came downstairs to open some presents and then to eat breakfast with us singing Happy Birthday.  We had church that morning and he was very excited to tell people it was his birthday and that he was 4 yrs old:)  We spent the day hanging out with him and topped off the night with a family dinner and cake with another round of "Happy Birthday" being sung.  He had a great birthday party and a great "real" birthday!

Things I want to remember:
1. Parker is totally obsessed with Monsters University/Inc toys and the movie.  I think he has all the characters from both movies.
2. He still LOVES frosty and he still carries his frosty around a lot and wants to watch the movie whenever possible.
3. He loves the play games on the ipad, phone and his DS(which he got for his birthday)..he is my gamer for sure.
4. He was so excited to get new batteries for his riding toys, yes I said batteries.  Parker loves riding his motorcycle and jeep and they have been out of commission for a while.  The look on his face was priceless when Josh's parents gave it to him.
5. He loves for Josh to "way" down with him at night and he is so stinking cute saying his prayers..he prays for EVERYONE...including Toy Story toys, the light and anything he can think of to procastinate going to bed.
6. He still will not poop in the potty and while I am not happy about this one day I am sure I will look back and laugh about all the "poop" drama.
7. He has officially moved to a booster seat with a back in the car!
8. Dinner time is still a battle (usually ends up in time out or sitting by himself well after everyone has finished).
9. When I say "GUess What Parker" He will respond with "Mommy loves me or Daddy loves me" and then you ask him how much and he says "Big Much" with his arms streched as far as they go.
10. Parker fills his bed up at night with all kinds of toys, books, etc.  I am not really sure how he has room to sleep.

Happy 4th Birthday Parker!  We all love you so much!!!

Pumpkin Patch 2013

Our church sells pumpkins every year and every year we take a family picture out there.  My kids, especially Parker, loves it when the pumpkins arrive and is very sad to see them go.  This year was even more special because it was Ansley's first time out there.  She seemed to enjoy the pumpkins.

Birthday party.....Monster style!

We celebrated Parker's 4th birthday with a Monsters University them.  Parker absolutely loves that movie and the first one and all the monsters.  His favorite is the green guy with one eye, Mike Wazowski.  We decided to just have the party at our house and let the kids play.  We got pumpkins for everyone to decorate and to take home.  Parker was all about his party and it turned out to be a great party!

More Wolfpack Fun!

I try to remember to take my real camera to the football games but usually forget it or forget to take it out of the car.  Here are a few more pics from the 2013 football season....

8 months old!

Ansley turned 8 months old on September 22nd!  I am so amazed at how fast this first year is flying by.  I can't believe that in a few short months we will be celebrating her first birthday!

Ansley is sitting up really well now, she is clapping and will say "Yea" when clapping.  She says "ma ma and da da a lot and there are some other "words" that I can't quite figure out.  She has 3 teeth now and is working on getting the other top one in as we speak.  She has grown quite fond of mommy and if I am in the room she does not want anyone else.  However, she does fine when I leave her with others which is nice.  She is really into her toys now and knows what she wants.  She LOVES my cell phone and if it gets taken away she is not a happy camper.

Ansley is eating 2 meals a day plus her bottles.  She is a descent eater and is more curious about "real" food.  We have started introducing some softer food, like nurti gran bars and she really likes those.  She loves her bottle and I fear she will have a hard time parting with it.

As far as sleeping goes, she goes down around 7-7:30pm.  For some reason she has started waking up one time every night...I am hoping that will end real soon.  She is still sleeping great during the day, 2-3 naps depending on how long they are:)

These past 8 months have been so much fun and Ansley continues to bless our family in so many ways!  Happy 8 months sweet girl...We love you!!
